Overview

Industrial Painting and Coating Supervisor

Our company is seeking an experienced Industrial Painting and Coating Supervisor to join our Paint Division. In this role the ideal candidate will supervise all functions by planning, scheduling, assigning, and monitoring the work of assigned staff. Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment & random drug testing.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Schedule, assign and supervise all activities of Spectrum's Paint Division.
  • Business development and growth of the Paint Division.
  • Review work requests, determine cost and staffing requirements, set priorities, and assign work to be performed.
  • Prepare, direct, and inspect the work of crew, painters, and other workers employed in general painting and coating of equipment.
  • Requisition materials and supplies, see that work is carried out according to plans and specifications.
  • Plans and develops work schedules, equipment usage schedule and estimates material and labor.
  • Trains employees in work methods or procedures, and work policies.
  • Knowledge to troubleshoot paint and coating non-conformance issues and provide corrective actions
  • Must be capable of reading and understanding customer drawings and specifications and use that information to paint and coat high reliability components
  • Group Leader or Supervisory experience a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of supervisory principles, practices, and techniques.
  • Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials common to the painting trade
  • Skill in estimating time and material requirements of work projects assigned.
  • Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED certificate required
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Project management, communication and documentation skills required
