Delivery Swing Driver

Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick up of packages; to check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service; Provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area; Provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Position created for GBDA location. Swing driver will work Monday-Friday 0800-1600 Pending operational needs. Extensive travel may be required for this position throughout Mountain district.

Minimum Education

High school diploma / GED.

Minimum Experience

Six (6) months courier experience preferred. Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and / or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred. Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet and maintain the qualifications as outlined in the federal motor carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Note : there are specific requirements for any employee that operates a company vehicle. Please refer to policy 4-48 for exact job requirements. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license in accordance with your state requirements for type of vehicle assigned and have good driving record as outlined in policy. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Preferred Qualifications

Monday through Friday 8 : 00am to 4 : 00pm All shifts are based on operational needs Extensive travel may be required for this position to any of our locations for a week at a time to cover a route in Colorado, Kansas and / or Wyoming. Hotel and Food per diem when travel is required will be paid for by FedEx

Pay Transparency

This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the salary Information represents the job level minimum and the job level maximum. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience related to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay : Current Hourly Rate Is : $22.30 Pay Range Over Time Is : $22.30-33.84
