Sterile Processing Technician - Stamford, CT

Our client, a well-established bariatric surgical practice, is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to join their Stamford team. This role is vital in ensuring surgical and endoscopy instruments are properly cleaned, sterilized, and ready for use, directly supporting safe and successful patient care.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Maintain a clean and organized central processing area
  • Clean, inspect, and prepare instruments according to manufacturer guidelines
  • Assemble, wrap, and label trays with accurate dates and details
  • Operate sterilizers, ultrasonic washers, and related equipment
  • Perform and record biological / chemical monitoring tests
  • Manage instrument inventory and documentation
  • Conduct weekly inspections to ensure sterility, expiration, and package integrity
  • Track loaned and returned instruments

    • Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Sterile Processing Certificate (required)
  • Training in sterile technique and instrument sterilization
  • Sterile processing experience with an endoscopy focus
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or surgical setting preferred
