Warehouse Clerk / Admin

We are a dynamic machine building company seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to support our purchasing department and warehouse operations. This role involves a mix of administrative and hands-on tasks, including filing, receiving shipments, updating inventory systems, and general warehouse duties.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the purchasing department with filing, documentation, and record-keeping.
  • Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders.
  • Update inventory and shipment data using computer systems.
  • Organize and maintain warehouse areas to ensure efficient operations.
  • Operate pallet jacks to move materials safely and efficiently.
  • Communicate with internal teams to ensure timely processing of materials.
  • Support other warehouse and purchasing tasks as needed.
  • Process packing slips, print purchase orders, and ensure their accuracy.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with purchasing and processing purchase orders.
  • Experience with shipping and receiving.
  • Proficient in data entry and working with purchase orders.
  • Strong customer service and material handling skills.
  • Proficiency in picking and loading.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and inventory software
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Prior experience in a warehouse or purchasing environment is a plus.

    Work Environment

    Work in a comfortable, air-conditioned environment from Monday to Friday, 6 : 30 am to 3 pm. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities during the day is essential.

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00 / hr.
