Wachter is accepting applications for Low Voltage Project Technicians for service and project work at various locations across the United States. This position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and repairing structured cabling systems in various environments. This full-time position requires travel and a willingness to learn and help in other structured cabling environments if needed.

Requirements
Experience as a Data Cable TechnicianStrong background in installing and troubleshooting structured cabling systems in retail environmentsMust hold a current valid State required license(s) for low voltage / burglar alarm / fire alarm / security / CCTVAvailable for extensive travelFlexible and willing to work on-call, day or night shifts as the jobs requireExperience reading blueprints and site mapsExperience in CCTV, Voice, and Fire Alarm cabling is a plusKnowledgeable in identifying independent colors and learning color codesAbility to work in cramped spacesExperience working with Copper and FiberAbility to operate a BOOM or scissor lift, and ability to work at heightsHas PPE, basic telecommunication tools, and hand toolsReliable transportation with required insurance coverageMust have knowledge of cabling infrastructureGreat communication skills; verbal and writtenExcellent customer relationship skillsHighly proficient with the use of email, spreadsheets, and the ability to learn internal systemsExperience in conduit installation is a plusValid driver's license with a clean driving record; no DUI or DWI in the last three yearsResponsibilities
Installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various cabling infrastructureRun low voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including drilling concrete walls and limited conduit workEnsuring all cables are neatly tied and bundled according to safety regulationsAssist with pre-installation opportunities by designing and planning technical solutionsInstalling of cable support structures such as j-hooks, cable racks, and innerductConduct tests to ensure all newly installed cable systems and component devices are operationalTroubleshoot issues with cable networksEnsure electrical systems meet local, county, state, or federal codes; legal and / or insurance requirementsAdhere to all required project safety requirements as set forth by Wachter, our customers, or OSHAPerform any other duties not specifically stated herein, but which your supervisor may assignAbout Wachter
