Department Overview

The Facilities and Administration Department is responsible for providing administrative and logistical assistance to all departments of the organization. It is comprised of facilities management and administrative support. Administrative work can encompass a wide variety of duties. This support includes general office management duties such as calendar / meeting management, supporting department leaders, and high level of presentation preparation. Facilities Management is responsible for assuring the effective functioning of a facility to provide an efficient and safe working environment for employees and their activities by using best business practices to manage resources, services and processes to meet the needs of the company.

Position Summary

The Procurement & Facilities Manager oversees all aspects of facility operations and procurement processes. This role ensures that our physical infrastructure, equipment, and supply chain support the smooth operation of our growing organization. They are a hands-on leader who can manage vendor relationships, implement procurement best practices, maintain safe and efficient workspaces, and lead a small team including an Automation Engineer and a Facilities Assistant. Experience in a technical, research, or manufacturing environment is highly desirable..

You Will :

Procurement & Supply Chain

  • Lead end-to-end procurement processes, including vendor selection, negotiation, purchasing, and contract management.
  • Source high-quality goods, equipment, lab / technical supplies, and services that meet project timelines and budgetary goals.
  • Maintain inventory levels and coordinate with internal stakeholders to forecast procurement needs.
  • Develop and implement procurement policies, systems, and workflows to drive efficiency and compliance.

    • Facilities Management

  • Oversee the maintenance, safety, and regulatory compliance of all company facilities.
  • Coordinate building services (e.g., HVAC, janitorial, security, landscaping) and manage vendors for facility-related projects.
  • Implement and monitor facility improvement plans, space planning, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Ensure workplace safety standards (OSHA, local codes) are met and maintained.

    • Team Leadership

  • Supervise and support the Automation Engineer in managing building systems and automation technology.
  • Direct the Facilities Assistant in daily operations, maintenance tasks, and general facility support.
  • Foster a collaborative and responsive team environment with a focus on service and operational excellence.

    • Budgeting & Reporting

  • Manage facilities and procurement budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Track and report on capital expenditures, procurement KPIs, vendor performance, and maintenance schedules.

    • You Have :

    (Competencies and Qualifications)

    Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.

    • Experience

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in procurement and / or facilities operations
  • 2+ years in a supervisory or team leadership role
  • Experience in an R&D, AgTech, biotech, or manufacturing environment is a plus

    • Software / Skillset

  • Proficient with procurement software, inventory systems, and basic project management tools
  • Familiarity with building systems (automation, HVAC, electrical, etc.) and safety / regulatory standards
  • Strong understanding of procurement and facility management systems, processes, and best practices.
