Assistant Controller

Responsibilities Supervise a team of accounting staff, conduct performance reviews, and manage departmental deliverables Prepare monthly financial statements, projections, and lender reports; review account balances and distribute reports to department heads Oversee daily functions including accounts payable / receivable, general ledger entries, and month-end closings. Manage year-end financial packages, personal property tax returns, 1099s, and assist with tax filings and K-1s for multiple entities Ensure adherence to GAAP and company policies; maintain internal controls and stay current on regulatory changes Support budgeting and forecasting efforts; analyze financial data to identify cost-saving and revenue opportunities Provide documentation and reconciliations for internal and external audits, supporting a smooth review process Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA or similar certification is a plus Experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role Familiarity with commercial or retail real estate operations is preferred Skilled in preparing and supporting tax returns Strong grasp of GAAP, IFRS, and other financial reporting standards and regulations Ask for : Aarti Manchanda Ajulia Executive Search is a New Jersey based Executive Search Firm specializing in retained searches in multiple sectors, including Manufacturing, Finance, IT, Legal, and Pharmaceutical.
