Family Practice / Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

Highly successful wellness and weight management team in the Chicago area is seeking a physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join their practice! This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with three outstanding board-certified physicians and receive hands-on training, all while enjoying a stable Monday-Friday schedule with no call and no weekends.

Ideal candidates will have ties to the northern Chicago area and have experience working in primary care, internal medicine, endocrinology, or other relevant specialties. The physicians are very willing to train the right candidate who is passionate about health, wellness, nutrition, and obesity medicine.

Responsibilities

• Full-time permanent position - Health & Wellness, Obesity Medicine
• Monday-Friday schedule (40 hours ideally, but can be flexible to 32 hours)
• No weekends, no call, no nights
• 100% outpatient clinic setting
• Work alongside three board-certified physicians who are also ABOM certified
• Join an established APP and excellent clinic support staff
• Perform medical, physical, psychosocial and nutritional assessment on both new and established patients
• Order and review appropriate diagnostic testing
• Evaluate patients for undiagnosed obesity related complications that may impact their overall health and / or participation in weight management treatment options
• Provide preventative medication counseling and monitor for treatment progress and potential treatment side effects
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care team including physical therapy, mental health, dietitians, and orthopedics to improve overall health and strength
