JOB SUMMARY

The Privacy Auditor is responsible for auditing, monitoring, and supporting the implementation of privacy programs across Berkshire Health Systems. This role ensures adherence to HIPAA and other applicable privacy regulations, manages privacy auditing software (including Haystack), supports Accounting of Disclosure requests, and assists with breach investigations and risk assessments. The Privacy Auditor will work independently to identify privacy risks, recommend corrective actions, and support a culture of compliance and data protection.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Experience :

Three years of experience in compliance, auditing, healthcare privacy, or Health Information Management.

Experience with privacy auditing tools (e.g., Haystack) preferred.

Experience with Meditech Expanse preferred.

Education :

• Bachelor’s degree in health information management, Healthcare Administration, Compliance, or related field preferred.

Licensure & Certifications

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Familiarity with breach response, risk assessments, and privacy impact assessments preferred.

Strong analytical and investigative skills with the ability to interpret complex data

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and make decisions with minimal supervision.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

High attention to detail and organizational skills.
