About the Role :

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Oxford Springs Tulsa Assisted Living, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and personalized care to our residents. Your primary focus will be to support residents with their daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity at all times. You will work closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to monitor residents' health and report any changes promptly. This role requires a strong commitment to fostering a warm and supportive environment that promotes the well-being and independence of each individual. Minimum Qualifications :

  • Current and valid CNA certification recognized by the state of Oklahoma.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of healthcare and safety procedures relevant to assisted living environments.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Previous experience working in an assisted living or long-term care facility.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Additional training in dementia or Alzheimer's care.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Responsibilities :

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding as needed.
  • Monitor and document residents' vital signs, behaviors, and overall health status, reporting any concerns to nursing staff promptly.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, encouraging social interaction and participation in community activities.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment by following infection control protocols and assisting with housekeeping tasks.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
  • Skills :

    The required skills such as effective communication and attention to detail are essential for accurately documenting resident information and collaborating with healthcare team members. Compassion and patience are critical in providing respectful and empathetic care to residents with diverse needs. Time management and organizational skills help in efficiently completing daily tasks while ensuring residents receive timely assistance. Preferred skills like familiarity with EHR systems enhance the ability to maintain accurate health records and streamline care coordination. Additionally, specialized knowledge in dementia care supports delivering tailored interventions that improve residents' quality of life.
