Receiving & Material Handler Associate

SUMMARY :

• USAM, a high-end architectural millwork firm base in Northern VA, is looking for a Receiving & Material Handler Associate for our facility in Manassas, VA.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Material Handler : Receives, organizes, and stages material.
• Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in proper storage location.
• Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
• Stage production orders for consumption to ensure continuous production flow.
• Perform quality inspections of materials, ensuring that the delivery is completed as requested and the order meets company and industry standards.
• Documents materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered.
• Organize stock in the most efficient way using material handling equipment (forklifts, pallets, etc.) Handle pallets and boxes using material handling equipment and other moving tools throughout the production facilities.
• Wears personal protective equipment as necessary for the job.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Receiving :

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or equivalent Associates degree or completion of technical degree highly preferred 1+ years of basic warehousing procedures experience Forklift certification 1+ years of millwork manufacturing experience preferred Ability to lift objects weighing between 50-75 pounds Exceptional attention to detail and excellent organizational skills Ability to follow directions and work well in a team Ability to take initiative Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
