Job Description

Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Job Description & Requirements

Specialty : PCU - Progressive Care Unit
Discipline : RN
Duration : 13 weeks
36 hours per week
Shift : 12 hours, days
Employment Type : Travel

Responsibilities

Assess and identify patient problems; develop and implement nursing care plans

Provide physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families

Communicate nursing care plan with healthcare team members; coordinate care

Document patient care accurately in Epic

Administer medications, manage IVs / central lines, provide wound care

Prepare patients for exams, assist during procedures, explain treatments and discharge instructions

Supervise and delegate tasks to UAP / ancillary staff

Monitor patients for changes and act quickly in emergencies

Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and National Patient Safety Goals

Participate in teamwork, maintain safe patient care environment

Requirements\n\nExperience : 1+ year\nLicense : RN (must be active)\nCertifications : ACLS, BLS\nEMR / Charting : Epic
