Southern Seven Health Department is seeking applications for a full-time Executive Director position that is based at the Administrative Office in Ullin, Illinois. This position requires a strong public health background, solid knowledge of finance / budgeting and grant management, excellent communication skills and leadership capabilities.  This position does come with a benefit package, including vacation, personal, and sick time accrual, holidays, health and life insurance, and an employer-sponsored cafeteria plan.

Essential Duties :

The ED in conjunction with the division administrators, plans, implements, directs, and evaluates all aspects of operation in accordance with the policies of the Board of Health and funding agencies. The ED organizes and coordinates the functions of Public Health and Head Start through appropriate departmentalization and delegation of duties subject to the limitations stipulated by the funding sources. Coordinates and integrates administrative management of fiscal operations and personnel with the clinical and programmatic aspects of the departments overall function and presents information to the Board of Health as a basis for rendering sound policy and program directives. Develops and maintains effective public relations with the community, other health care institution / providers, civic organizations, national, state / local groups.

Qualifications and Experience :

• Prefer a Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in public health, public or business administration, health care management, or related field, AND
• a minimum of five (5) years responsible administrative experience at senior management level with relevant experience within the framework of a public or non-profit, multi-service health care organization or related with at least two (2) years of full time administrative experience in public health.
