Hospitalists Do Not Backup Midwives

Hospitalist Do Not Backup Family Practice

Backup Available to the Hospitalists

Program Objectives :

Provide L&D support to ensure consistent high-quality care

Expand access to care for women in the community

Implement and improve the quality and safety of patient care

Opportunity to increase GYN surgeries

Total Hospital Deliveries (monthly avg.) : 31

Total Hospital Deliveries (annual avg.) : 372

Estimated Ob Hospitalist Deliveries (monthly avg.) : 16

Estimated Ob Hospitalist Deliveries (annual avg.) : 192

Estimated Patient Encounters (per shift) : 3

9 Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP) rooms

7 Postpartum rooms, 2 dedicated to C-section suites

NICU - Level 1 (8 beds)

Ob Emergency Department

Anesthesia : On-sight 24 / 7

MFM : No, available for consults

Residency Program : No

EMR used in Hospital : Cerner
