Overview

Site Video Directors oversee the execution of live technical elements at Crossroads, including setup and support for rehearsals, live, virtual, and hybrid events. The role collaborates with staff and volunteers to prepare and operate video and related equipment, combining technical expertise, communication, and leadership. Works with Producers, Worship Leaders, and others to align with the Central Experience Team’s creative and teaching objectives. Responsibilities also include equipment maintenance, video production, set changes, and training staff and volunteers in technical operations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and program necessary equipment for services or events.
  • Troubleshoot technical systems as needed.
  • Participate in production team meetings.
  • Ensure smooth technical transitions during services and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the site experience team to adapt and execute changes after run-throughs.
  • Train technical volunteers.
  • Perform routine maintenance of AVL systems (hardware and software).
  • Plan and execute special services and events.
  • Participate in other projects such as video shoots, concerts, student ministry events, and camps as needed.

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • College degree or equivalent field experience preferred
  • Experience / Skills Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years professional video experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated with ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of Google workspace and willingness to learn other software tools
  • Organized, disciplined with priorities and attention to detail
  • Extensive knowledge of live event technical systems (audio, rigging, programming, etc.)
  • Experience in on- and off-site technical support for live production under pressure and deadlines
  • Driven, independent worker with a high attention to detail and a pursuit of excellence
  • Proficiency In Several Of The Following

  • Mac OS X
  • Ross Video systems
  • Propresenter
  • Resolume, ProVideoPlayer, or other media servers
  • Qlab
  • IP communications
  • Signal flow and routing
  • Broadcast video
  • Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk up to 5 miles, stand, climb, lift, carry, reach, stoop and crouch as duties require
  • Must be able to lift 25–50 lbs
