Job Summary :
As a Regional Maintenance Manage r, you will play a vital role in overseeing the maintenance operations across a portfolio of multifamily residential properties within your assigned region. This position ensures that all properties are maintained to the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and appearance. This position brings strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and project management capabilities to support both day-to-day operations and long-term capital improvements. This role requires frequent travel and close collaboration with property teams, contractors, and senior leadership .
Location : Texas / Colorado Region (Role based in Texas with regional travel required)
Key Responsibilities :
Maintenance Operations & Oversight
- Supervise maintenance operations across a regional portfolio of multifamily residential properties.
- Routinely inspect properties to ensure preventative maintenance programs and best practices are in place.
- Ensure timely completion of work orders, emergency repairs, and capital improvements.
- Maintain compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company policies.
Staff Management & Training
Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training maintenance staff for new acquisitions and existing properties.Provide ongoing support and technical guidance to maintenance teams both in person and remotely.Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.Technical Expertise
Apply strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems.Hold and maintain EPA Universal Certification.Troubleshoot complex maintenance issues and provide hands-on support when needed.Project & Capital Improvements
Lead CapEx bidding processes including scope development, competitive bid collection, contract negotiation, and vendor oversight.Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.Coordinate multiple projects and activities simultaneously with minimal supervision.Communication & Collaboration
Communicate effectively with ownership groups, property management teams, contractors, and vendors.Provide clear written reports and updates on maintenance activities, staffing, and project progress.Collaborate with the Regional Property Manager and SVP of Construction to align maintenance strategies with company goals.Technology & Systems
Utilize Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reporting and communication.Preferred experience with Yardi for work order and property management tracking.Additional Responsibilities :
Perform additional duties assigned by direct supervisor and upper-level management.Qualifications :
5-7 years of recent experience in multifamily residential maintenance, preferably in a supervisory role.EPA Universal Certification required.Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems.Proven ability to train and support maintenance teams across multiple locations.Strong construction and maintenance knowledge base.Project management experience with the ability to coordinate multiple activities independently.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with ownership, management, contractors, and vendors.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); Yardi experience preferred.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.Ability to travel frequently across assigned region, including overnight stays.Physical Requirements & Work Conditions :
Ability to walk, stand, bend, climb ladders, and lift to 50 lbs. as needed.Comfortable working in a variety of environments including active construction sites, mechanical rooms, rooftops, and outdoor areas.May be exposed to varying weather conditions during site visits and inspections.Must be able to safely navigate job sites and adhere to all safety protocols.Frequent travel required across assigned regions including overnight stays.Occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary to meet project deadlines or respond to urgent facility issues.Ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid driver’s license.Compensation & Benefits :
