Vivacity Tech is looking for a Senior Web Applications Designer. This strategic role is responsible for leading the design direction of Vivacity’s software products. This role partners closely with executive leadership to translate business vision into user-centered design solutions that support product innovation and market differentiation. The position requires advanced proficiency in design strategy, rapid prototyping, and cross-functional collaboration. Operating in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment, the designer drives product roadmaps, facilitates design sprints, and contributes to scalable design systems. This role also plays a key part in identifying emerging trends in educational technology and guiding the development of breakthrough user experiences aligned with organizational goals.

This position is in Greenville, SC. You must be located in the Greenville, SC area. This position is NOT remote, it is ON-SITE 5 days a week.

While no day will be completely the same, you will execute daily responsibilities in these various functions :

Lead the development of strategic product vision and design roadmaps for upcoming software initiatives.

Collaborate closely with C-level executives and senior leadership to conceptualize, evaluate, and refine product ideas.

Deliver high-quality design iterations rapidly and effectively within tight deadlines.

Facilitate high-impact design sprints and cross-functional ideation sessions to accelerate innovation.

Translate complex business requirements into intuitive, user-centered design solutions within compressed timelines.

Design and architect differentiated user experiences that enhance the competitive positioning of Vivacity Tech’s products.

Communicate design concepts and strategic recommendations to executive leadership, board members, and key stakeholders.

Maintain composure and deliver creative, high-quality outcomes in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.

Research and integrate emerging design trends, technologies, and methodologies to drive innovation.

Develop and maintain scalable design systems and frameworks that support efficient product development.

Provide strategic direction and leadership during design reviews, ensuring alignment between design intent and implementation.

Partner with product strategy teams to identify market opportunities and transform them into engaging user experiences.

Advocate for user needs while balancing business goals, technical constraints, and time-sensitive demands.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong strategic design capability with a proven ability to translate business goals into innovative, user-centered design solutions.

Exceptional creative thinking and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to anticipate user needs and deliver breakthrough experiences.

Advanced proficiency in Figma, including rapid prototyping, interactive design, and real-time collaboration features.

Deep understanding of user experience principles, interaction design, visual design theory, and front-end technology constraints.

Expertise in design thinking, design sprints, and other rapid ideation methodologies.

Strong command of product strategy and roadmap development, with the ability to align design execution to long-term business objectives.

Excellent communication and storytelling skills with the ability to influence executive stakeholders and present to C-level audiences.

Familiarity with the unique challenges of designing for B2B software and educational technology platforms.

Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously under pressure.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.

Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and providing design leadership during high-stakes product development cycles.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Expert technical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and assist and train others

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment

Extremely proficient with Google Suite or similar software with the ability to learn new or updated software

Ability to work independently

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Business, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in strategic product design roles within high-growth or fast-paced environments.

Demonstrated track record of successful product launches, with a portfolio showcasing high-impact, market-differentiating design solutions.

Experience collaborating directly with executive leadership and contributing to high-level business decisions.

Prior work in educational technology, B2B software, or enterprise applications strongly preferred. Proven ability to deliver quality work under aggressive timelines and in high-pressure settings.
