Greystones Group has an opportunity for a Technical Writer to support a Navy customer in the Washington D.C. area. This project is in support of implementing process improvements and policy updates. This candidate will develop, review, and manage technical documentation in support of Department of Navy programs. This position will be located in the Washington D.C. area; however, if the candidate’s unique skills and experience would result in considerable value added to the customer, the position can be performed at remote locations and / or telework.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write, edit, and format a variety of documents including memorandums, instructions, policy documentation, and correspondence / documentation.
• Ensure all documentation complies with DoD / DoN policies, including the DoD 5000 acquisition framework.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), engineers, program managers, and stakeholders to gather source material and technical data.
• Edit documents for clarity, consistency, grammar, style, and adherence to required templates and standards.
• Support the development of program documentation required for milestone reviews and audits.
• Maintain version control of technical documents and ensure proper document configuration management.
• Assist with preparing materials for briefings, proposals, and official submissions.
