The Teacher Leader is a hybrid position, which includes teaching students in a classroom 50% of the time ( 0.5 FTE ) and supporting teachers for improved instruction 50% of the time in Math ( 0.5 FTE

Responsibilities
Provide instructional coaching to all teachers.Develop and conduct staff development for classroom teachers.Analyze student data and recommend interventions to both administrators and teachers.Analyze observational data and conference with teachers accordingly, both individually and in groups.Collaborate with core content coaches and contacts to ensure timely dissemination of curricular and instructional information from the district and other sources.Collaborate with on-site staff on the use of available school technology and resources to increase student achievement.Develop and support demonstration classrooms in core content classes.Develop a monitoring plan and interventions for attendance.Engage in continuous improvement by attending professional development in all content areas and attend monthly professional learning communities (PLCs) to stay current with best practices and standards.Interpret data related to student performance and identify appropriate intervention strategies.Model effective techniques in the classroom.Participate as an active member of leadership teams and professional learning communities.Provide follow-up and implementation support for professional development activities.Establish and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with administrators and personnel.Design and implement appropriate instruction of content area(s) / course(s) assigned in accordance with state standards, district curriculum, and students' needs.Create a positive educational climate for students to learn in an atmosphere of respect and rapport.Create and deliver relevant and rigorous lessons that maximize student engagement and achievement.Utilize a variety of teaching practices and methodologies that reflect diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds to meet the individual needs of students.Observe and evaluate student performance and mastery of standards, monitor student assessment data, and maintain student grades and attendance.Manage student behavior in the classroom by utilizing effective classroom management strategies and invoking appropriate disciplinary procedures.Communicate with parents and school / district personnel regarding student progress and encourages parental involvement.Take all responsible precautions to provide for the health and safety of students and to protect equipment, materials, and facilities.Adequately maintains and secures confidential records, inquiries, and data.Maintain appropriate certifications and professional development hours as required.Performs any other duties as assigned.Responsibilities and tasks outlined in this document are not exhaustive and may change as determined by the needs of the district.Qualifications
Certificates / Licenses / Registrations : Florida Professional Educator Certificate.Experience : Five (5) years of increasingly responsible, successful experience in classroom teaching. Experience in preparing and presenting trainings preferred.Language Skills : Read, analyze, and interpret all kinds of documents. Conduct presentations and trainings for various audiences. Conference with teachers regarding teaching skills.Mathematical Skills : Work with math concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.Reasoning Ability : Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Computer Skills : Microsoft Office.Other Information
