Title : Radiation Therapist

Location : Portland, OR

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day, 4x10-Hour (07 : 00AM - 3 : 00PM)

Job Responsibilities and Requirements :

  • Provide patient care, including care of patients in restraints, lift / transfer assistance, and patient / family teaching.
  • Perform chart checks, emergency response, and use of crash cart and defibrillator.
  • Administer external beam therapy, including IMRT, electron beam therapy, and prostate cancer treatment with seeds / fiducials.
  • Conduct CT simulation, tumor localization, custom molds, and custom shields.
  • Utilize CBCT / kV / mV imaging for pretreatment.
  • Operate treatment units include Elekta Infinity, Elekta Versa HD, and HexaPOD.
  • Follow radiation safety and isolation precautions.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams including IV, respiratory, social services, transportation, and rapid response teams.
  • Treat adults and geriatric patients with all cancer diagnoses, including SBRT, ExacTrac Dynamic, and ABC procedures.
  • Required Certifications and Skills :

  • ARRT (R)
  • BLS (AHA or equivalent)
  • Adult outpatient care experience
  • Preferred Experience and Skills :

  • Epic charting system experience
  • Teaching hospital experience
  • Beam modifying / positioning skills
  • Patient Ratios :

  • Days : 1 : 2
