Stand and / or walk for extended periods of time (up to 810 hours per shift). Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb stairs or ladders as needed to perform inspections or assist with operations. Lift, push, pull, and carry baggage, freight, or equipment weighing up to 70 lbs. independently and occasionally over 70 lbs. with assistance. Operate ground service equipment (GSE) and vehicles as required. Reach above and below shoulder level to handle cargo, tools, and equipment. Maintain the ability to work in high-noise areas and wear required hearing protection. Possess vision and depth perception sufficient to operate vehicles and equipment safely. Communicate clearly in person, over radios, and via telephone. Maintain regular and punctual attendance, including the ability to work irregular hours, weekends, holidays, and overtime as operationally required. Job Summary
The Manager Ramp Services classification includes the following : coordinates and controls the airport ramp service functions guaranteeing compliance with Company standards, contractual agreements and, in the case of international cargo, compliance with federal guidelines; responsible for integrity of inventory, system staging and distribution; assists in monthly billing procedures; ensures that budgets and manning requirements are maintained; meets and maintains communications with customer(s); responsible for monthly reports; locates new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Proactively monitors the work of assigned employees to ensure that customer satisfaction, safety, security, quality and employee relations meet or exceed standards.
- Maintain and control all required aspects of the operation in accordance with the corporate security program and TSA legislation.
- Ensure that the required company audit requirements are undertaken to ensure continuity and compliance at all times.
- Read, understand and clarify the implementation of the site-specific security plan and ensure that all WFS staff are issued with a relevant company ID and that they are required to display this identity badge.
