Job Title : Manufacturing Process Engineer
Job Description : We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to lead the vertical startup of high-speed manufacturing lines, ensuring seamless equipment integration and optimization. This role requires hands-on support during startup and post-go-live phases, with a focus on achieving operational efficiency and sustainable performance improvements.
Responsibilities
- Lead the vertical startup of high-speed manufacturing lines, aiming for OEE improvements to meet business objectives within a compressed timeline.
- Develop and support documentation, training plans, and knowledge transfer for a seamless handover to operations.
- Act as the on-site engineering lead during startup and post-go-live phases, providing hands-on support and resolving equipment, software, and process issues using structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Monitor OEE and other key performance indicators to drive improvements during the ramp-up phase.
- Conduct loss landscape analysis and develop glidepaths for performance targets.
- Facilitate daily stand-up meetings to align cross-functional teams on glidepath execution.
- Support the implementation of cross-functional training, centerlining, and standard work practices.
- Collaborate with local and global teams to ensure sustainable performance gains.
- Partner with site operations, quality, maintenance, global design engineers, and external vendors to provide technical expertise, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and support integration reporting.

Manufacturing engineering experienceProcess improvement expertiseProficiency in lean manufacturing and continuous improvementHands-on experience with vertical startups, commissioning, and validation of automated systemsStrong knowledge of GMP, EHS standards, LOTO, machine safeguarding, and regulated manufacturing environmentsAbility to troubleshoot and resolve integration issues using data-driven approachesMinimum 5 years of experience in high-speed manufacturing and capital equipment integrationAdditional Skills & Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, or related field)Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or FMCG manufacturing environmentsFamiliarity with lean manufacturing principles, centerlining, and OEE toolsProficiency in scientific problem-solving methods (e.g., DoE, KPIV / KPOV analysis)Track record of success in startup programs or plant ramp-upsWork Environment
This position is based onsite in Sandy, UT. The work environment is dynamic and collaborative, with opportunities to engage with local and global teams. We offer 2 weeks of PTO and 6 paid holidays, providing a supportive work-life balance.
