Collection Operator

In this role, you'll operate an automated collection vehicle to manage trash and recyclables. You'll also assist with street maintenance, including snow and ice removal, and handle other severe weather operations.

What qualifications are necessary for the role? To perform the essential duties of the position, the minimum education and experience required includes :
What is the typical schedule? A typical work schedule is 7 a.m. 3 p.m., ending time is determined when all the routes have completed their collection for the day. Collectors are paid for a full eight (8)-hour work day, even if they finish early, any time worked over the eight (8) hour work day will be considered overtime. Occasionally, Collection Operators will assist with snow and ice removal operations, other severe weather operations, and other Public Works operations as directed.
What is the pay? The starting annual salary for this position is $43,577 ($20.95 per hour); this is a non-exempt position. This position is also eligible for annual economic adjustments and performance-based adjustments, as approved by the City Council.
