About the Role

As a key member of our team, youll handle a mix of

• commercial / business litigation, estate litigation, and estate administration
• matters, while also providing proactive counsel on business transactions. Youll manage your own caseload with support from experienced colleagues and staff, and have direct access to clients, courts, and decision-makers.

Typical Matters

• Will contests, trust disputes, and fiduciary litigation
• Probate and estate administration (filings, accountings, distributions)
• Trust and Estate Planning Transactional Matters
• Breach of contract disputes
• Partnership and shareholder disagreements
• Commercial and residential real estate litigation
• Business tort claims and commercial collections
• Corporate formations and business entity structuring
• Contract drafting and negotiation
• Asset purchase agreements and business sales

Key Responsibilities

• Represent clients in state and federal courts, arbitrations, and mediations
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and contracts
• Provide strategic, practical advice to business owners and families on risk management and dispute resolution
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships
• Handle all phases of estate administration, including probate filings, asset distribution, and client communication
• Negotiate settlements and business deals
• Collaborate with clients CPAs, lenders, and financial professionals
• Contribute to firm growth and process improvements

What Were Looking For

• Kentucky-licensed attorney in good standing
• 3+ years of experience in business / commercial litigation, estate litigation, or estate administration (more is great!)
• Confident communicator and problem solver
• Comfortable working independently with strong organizational skills
• Proactive, practical, and able to manage multiple cases and deadlines
• Tech-friendly and eager to learn new tools
• Positive attitude, team player, and community-minded
