Role Description

This full-time, on-site role as a Labor and Delivery and Postpartum Nurse is based in Elk City, OK. The nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring the health of mothers and babies, assisting during childbirth, providing postpartum care, educating new mothers on infant care, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients. The role also involves collaborating with doctors, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical skills in labor, delivery, and postpartum care, including monitoring vital signs and fetal heart rates
• Proficiency in assisting with childbirth, including both natural and cesarean deliveries
• Experience in providing postpartum care and educating new mothers on infant care
• Ability to work effectively in a team, collaborating with doctors, midwives, and other healthcare professionals
• Excellent communication skills to provide clear instructions and emotional support to patients and their families
• Ability to manage multiple patients and tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Registered Nurse (RN) license with experience in labor and delivery or postpartum care
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• Experience in neonatal resuscitation is a plus
