About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum 1 year of dedicated CVICU experience required

License : Must obtain required license before contract begins

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Must-Have :

• Pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting the assignment
• Experience with A-Lines, vents, drips, sheaths, dialysis, and drawing ABGs
• Travel experience preferred
• EPIC experience required
• Ability to float to other units as needed

Description :

Must work every other holiday, with specific holidays considered as separate occasions.

This unit typically runs with a patient ratio of 1 : 2.

Traveler will be the first to float at the discretion of the facility.

Assignments could include floating to other locations.

Must be available to work every other weekend and holiday.

Facility reserves the right to cancel shifts due to low census with appropriate notice.

Travelers are not eligible for employee incentives.

Working with tele, drips, and vents is expected.

Interdisciplinary support includes various medical and therapy teams.

Patient demographics include adults and geriatrics.

The focus will be on critical conditions, including cardiac issues and respiratory failures.

Special procedures include open heart recovery and management of serious conditions.

Understanding of various critical care equipment and procedures is required.

Travelers must complete specific lab work and exams promptly after signing the contract.

Requests for time off must be included with the initial submission and are subject to approval.
