Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Manager Pharmacist to provide leadership and clinical expertise at an acute care hospital in Weirton, WV. This is a contract position with coverage needed until March 1, 2026, or until a permanent hire is made. The ideal candidate will bring hospital-based clinical experience and strong leadership skills to support the pharmacy department through uping regulatory milestones.

Position Details :

Location : Weirton, WV

Schedule : Monday Friday, 8-hour shifts (some weeks may be less than 40 hours)

Duration : ASAP March 1, 2026 (or until permanent hire)

No weekends or on-call coverage required

Hospital Information & Systems :

Order Entry : EPIC (experience preferred, training available)

Automation : Pyxis (experience preferred, training available)

Specialty Areas : OB, Cath Lab, Oncology Center, ICU, Skilled Nursing Unit

Staff : 15 Pharmacists, 23 Technicians (techs support order filling and IV prep; no order entry)

Uping Focus : Preparing for The Joint mission survey window (opens March 1, 2026)

Responsibilities :

Lead clinical pharmacy services, including P&T, Antimicrobial Stewardship, and pharmacist education

Collaborate with the Operations Coordinator to implement new clinical initiatives

Review and update pharmacy policies to align with WVU sub-mittee and eP&T directives

Support adoption and implementation of WVU system initiatives and formulary changes

Participate in sterile pounding and maintain petency requirements

Represent pharmacy in hospital mittees and leadership forums

Requirements :

Active West Virginia Pharmacist license

1+ years of experience as a Clinical Pharmacy Manager in an acute care hospital or strong hospital clinical pharmacist experience

Sterile pounding petency required
