Northwest Equipment Sales, a Heavy-Duty Truck & Trailer Dealership (Mack, Kalmar Ottawa, and Cummins) is seeking to hire a Full-Time Diesel Technicians for its facility in Twin Falls, Idaho. Newly Hired technicians will be eligible for a signing bonus up to $10,000.00. Wages are $20.00 - $40.00 + per hour based upon experience, knowledge, and skill level. Must have own tools and good communication skills. Have at least one year of experience, various types of equipment experience is a plus, and a clean driving record. Having a current CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) is a plus.

    Under general supervision, does skilled work in the adjustment, maintenance and repair of trucks as assigned by the Shop

    Foreman.

    CORE RESPONSIBILITES :

    Perform maintenance and repair work on trucks as listed on repair orders assigned by Shop Foreman. Inspect trucks

    to diagnose concerns and / or troubleshoot concerns with proper equipment to make proper repairs or adjustments.

    Follow established guidelines for proper repair and maintenance of trucks. Consult service literature as needed to

    affect proper repairs, maintenance or trouble shoot. Inform Shop Forman of any additional repairs or maintenance that

    is required on a vehicle. Complete a parts requisition for all parts needed to complete a repair.

    Properly document cause and correction for all concerns listed on repair order as the work is completed. Tag and

    secure warranty parts in accordance with policy and procedures.

    Attend training classes as assigned by Shop Foreman. Stay up with industry standards and changes through

    OEM literature and trade association information.

    Operate shop equipment in a safe and responsible manner. Properly clean and return shop equipment to its

    proper place. Keep work environment clean and safe.

    Increase customer’s satisfaction by effecting repairs correctly the first time. Accomplish and maintain a high level of

    efficiency and productivity. Maintain a set of hand tools to properly effect repairs as assigned.

    Consult warranty department as needed for proper repair procedures and parts required for warranty repairs, service

    programs and recalls.

    Requirements : QUAILFICATIONS :

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of two years training, education, or experience in any combination
  • Possess a valid state driver’s license and set of hand tools
  • Write legibly and possess verbal communication skills
  • Understand principles of maintenance and methods
  • Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and equipment used in repairing trucks
  • ACCOUNTABILITY :

    Performance standards for this position are met when :

  • No complaints are received from customers about how they were treated.
  • Unapplied time does not exceed hours per month.
  • Comeback repairs remain below per 100 repair orders.
  • Warranty rejection rate due to improper or un-needed repairs is below % for all warranty repairs within a month.
