Service Technician

As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on mobile office trailers, including tasks such as framing, finish carpentry, electrical work, flooring, plumbing, painting, and running gear. You will also ensure trailers are ready for scheduled delivery dates and provide courteous customer service. The role involves light carpentry, electrical tasks, and some HVAC work, requiring no certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs to mobile office trailers in areas such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and painting.
• Maintain proper inventory levels of tools and parts needed for service tasks.
• Keep a clean and organized work area and ensure a safe work environment.
• Provide customer service, explaining repairs and services to customers in person and over the phone.
• Ensure trailers are ready for delivery and perform service-related tasks in the yard.
• Conduct service calls in branch territories and attend bi-monthly safety meetings.
• Close-up multi-sectional units and ensure doors and windows are shut on idle fleet.
• Assist in ordering materials and unloading deliveries.
• Operate forklifts and perform office maintenance and repairs as assigned.
• Perform system checks and maintenance on HVAC systems and ensure routine maintenance is performed according to schedules.

Work Environment

The role is based in a clean and organized yard environment. The team works on one modular at a time, either in refurbished modules or those holding tools. Production typically takes 30 - 35 hours per modular, aiming for one per week based on client needs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vacaville, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 / hr.
