Overview
Maintains a high level of excellence in teaching by communicating and interacting effectively with students enrolled in courses within the program area. Prepares materials needed for course instruction and testing. Keeps student records and adheres to course schedules. Uses learning management systems to communicate with students, faculty and staff. Participates in the collection of student learning outcomes. Assists the Commercial Graphics Communications coordinator with timely notification of any shortfall in supplies or equipment needed for lab instruction. Conducts lectures, discussions and other teaching activities. Relates instruction and material to course objectives. Provides students with course syllabi and correlates grade assignment with skill and course competency. Submits grades, reports and records in a timely manner. Remains current in field. An Adjunct faculty member in Commercial Graphics Communications must have a broad knowledge of the commercial graphics industry with specific knowledge in the area(s) of teaching commercial graphics technology. The faculty member needs to have direct practical experience in the following areas of graphics production : fluency in the Adobe Creative Suite to include preflighting of files for production via a variety of processes, experience with offset, screen, sublimation, wide format and flexographic production. Experience imaging across a broad variety of substrates is necessary. Experience creating and applying vehicle wraps is desirable.
This position is located on the Airport Campus in the Advanced Manufacturing and Skilled Trades department.
