This is a hands-on role suited for a detail-oriented self-starter who enjoys both the analytical and operational sides of real estate asset management. Youll have exposure to C-level executives, direct reporting to the Director of Asset Management, and significant runway for professional growth within a mission-focused organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial and operational performance for a portfolio of workforce and affordable housing assets (2,000+ units).
  • Monitor property-level reporting and prepare monthly and quarterly financial analyses, including budget vs. actual variance reviews.
  • Collaborate with property management teams to optimize performance, occupancy, and expense control.
  • Participate in investor-level discussions and reporting, supporting LP and joint venture communications.
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking to inform rent strategies, capex planning, and capital improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with senior leadership to execute business plans and evaluate portfolio performance.
  • Travel to regional properties (up to 40%) to oversee on-site operations, engage with partners, and track progress toward asset goals.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in real estate asset management or acquisitions, ideally with multifamily exposure
  • Strong financial acumen and working knowledge of Excel (DCF, IRR, and variance modeling)
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage confidently with investors, property managers, and leadership
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and maintain momentum in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelors degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
