Engineering Team Leader

Join Hitachi Energy in Jefferson City, MO, and lead a talented team shaping the future of power distribution. As our Engineering Team Leader, you'll oversee the design and development of single-phase and three-phase pad-mounted distribution transformersproducts that power communities and industries across the country. You'll guide a team of 30+ engineers and designers, drive innovation, and collaborate directly with customers to deliver high-quality, customized solutions. How You'll Make An Impact

  • Lead and inspire a diverse team of electrical and mechanical engineers and designers.
  • Oversee design activities for quoting and production of pad-mounted and Unit SUB transformers.
  • Manage budgets and deliver on cost-reduction and product development goals.
  • Ensure timely delivery of designs and drawings aligned with customer specifications.
  • Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and engineering processes.
  • Support manufacturing operations with engineering expertise.
  • Engage directly with customers to resolve design issues and enhance product performance.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 12 years of engineering experience, including team leadership.
  • Proven track record in project management and process optimization.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or factory setting.
  • Preferred : Experience in transformer design or power industry engineering.
