Overview
The Manager, Application Support provides day to day management to a staff of analysts responsible for providing high quality system services to the IDN, ensuring a maximum return on information technology investments and superior customer service to our patients, members, associates, and medical staff.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for day-to-day operations and tracking of all work assigned across team members that they manage
- Lead client facing discussions to understand business direction and produce proactive plan to produce results in a highly dynamic and formative environment
- Proactively works with other IT leaders to ensure projects, issues and ideas are addressed effectively and to continue to provide a positive working environment across the department
- Provide performance coaching to assigned associates by defining responsibilities and expectations, setting individual goals and objectives, giving performance feedback, recognizing contributions, and encouraging training and development
- Supports department Director and / or Vice President and IT executive leadership by providing timely proactive updates and by attending meetings with stakeholders and vendors
- Works with their team and other departments in identifying the nature and impact of problems / issues as well as providing timely communication for any escalated problems or issues that will impact the IDN
- Identifies opportunities for budgetary and application improvement that would enhance the needs of the customers and provide a positive impact to those we serve
- Is responsible for planning capital and operational budgets, monitor and track budget throughout the year, adjust expenditures as necessary, and work within approved annual budget
- Exhibit ability and willingness to learn and apply new skills, keep abreast of current technology developments, work with minimal supervision, understand how team responsibilities relate to other areas and to use team resources effectively

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education : Bachelor's degree in Health Information Systems, Business Administration, or Computer InformationWork Experience : Five (5) years of experience leading technology teamsFive (5) years working with all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Licensure : NoneCertification : NoneWork Experience In Lieu of Education : Eight (8) years of managing application support teamsSkills / Knowledge / Abilities : Advanced level of understanding and application of general systems concepts and their integration with IT problem-solving skillsEffective communication skills include demonstrated ability to present to various levels of audienceAbility to problem-solveEffective teaming, organizational and support management skillsPreferred Qualifications
Work Experience : Advanced knowledge of healthcare processes to include state, federal and regulatory requirementsSeven years of experience managing Applications Support TeamsFive years working with all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Beaker experience welcome to applyPhysical Requirements
