Job Description

Job Title : Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA)

Job Specialty : Surgery

Job Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day 5x8-Hour (06 : 30 - 15 : 00)

Guaranteed Hours : Apply after the first call off per pay period

Experience : Minimum 2 years of RNFA experience

License : Valid FL license or a compact license required

Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS)

Must-Have :

General, Ortho, Spine, and Urology surgery experience
Proficiency with Neptune, Ligasure, Harmonic scalpel, Bovie, Ortho positioning, and various surgical tables
Experience with Cerner EMR
COVID-19 vaccination required (exemptions accepted for medical or religious reasons)

Job Description :

The Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) will :

Work day shifts from 06 : 30 to 15 : 00, 5 days a week

Be on-call as required, including weekdays 3p-6 : 30a and weekend shifts from 6 : 30a-6 : 30p

Have the flexibility to float within scope to meet facility needs

Use special equipment such as Robot XI Davinci, Hana Table, Laser, Microscope, and more in surgery

Adhere to the facility's infection control and safety guidelines

Demonstrate proficiency with Cerner charting system

Additional Requirements :

Must be open to discussions regarding weekend work and block scheduling if applicable

Compliance and readiness for the role involve passing a mandatory EKG exam with up to 3 attempts

Complete any required modules before starting and annually, with specific requirements varying by specialty
