The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will oversee the company's financial operations. Duties include managing budgets, establishing policy, financial decision-making, controlling margins and debt, and making decisions about the company assets and resources. The CFO has primary responsibility for the planning, implementation, managing and running of all the finance activities of the company, including business planning, budgeting, treasurer functions, forecasting and negotiations.
Major responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining a strategic financial plan and annual operating and capital budgets; financial analysis of new programs, acquisitions, and business development; revenue management; preparation of the financial statements, in accordance with financial management and techniques appropriate to the health care industry; decision support and cost accounting; oversight of disbursements and receivables processes; oversight of patient admissions processes. Serves as strategic advisor to the CEO. The CFO will be reporting directly to the Pipeline CEO. Actively and consistently contributes to department operations and communications, behaves in a manner consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Pipeline Health, upholding standards of AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank you) patient communication.
Essential Functions
Assuming a lead role in analyzing and exploring means of reducing company operating costs and increasing revenues based on knowledge of market trends, financial reports, and operating procedures.Directing the preparation of internal financial reports and ensuring that the reports reliably reflect the financial position of the company.Directing the timely submission of all financial data associated reports required by government and other regulated agencies including payroll tax reports, public disclosure reports, and third-party payor cost reports.Identifying and reporting undesirable trends and potential business opportunities and making recommendations for action.Serves as strategic advisor to the CEO to include building strong relationships with investors and opinion leaders, as well as the other CEO’s direct reports internally.Manages Accounting & Financial Functions By
Assisting the CEO in the development of long- and short-range company operations plans which may include service demand analyses, resources availability analyses, productivity, and cost benefit analyses of proposed capital and staff expansions.Developing long and short range operational and capital budgets which are supported by the company’s long- and short-range plans and objectives.Directing the preparation of company statistical reports, budgets, and financial reports.Administering the general accounting, patient business services, including third party reimbursement, financial, and statistical reporting functions of the company in accordance with established policies and accounting procedures.Providing informal direction in data processing, distributed systems, material management and medical record functions. Monitoring performance to ensure fiscal responsibilities are fulfilled.Forecasting the impact of business decisions and expected outcomes on all financial results.Monitoring financial and economic information to identify trends and indicators that may impact business operations, planning, investments, and so forth.Communicating financial operational performance with all stakeholders, including senior administration, appropriate facility staff members and board of directors.Reviewing denials issues and trends for maximizing net reimbursement for Facility.Maintaining accuracy of charge master.Reviewing contracts, purchase agreements, and other financial arrangements to ensure compatibility with business goals and expectations about profitability.Day to day management of the Accounting, Payroll, and Accounts payable functions to include supervision of staff.Maintains duties and compliance of all treasurer functions.Uses clear, concise, professional communication with coworkers, patients, all customers internal and external.Uses AIDET in interactions with patients and family members.Acts with a sense of urgency when performing tasks.Basic unit / department maintenance such as keeping files, drawers, cabinets free from unnecessary clutter.Reports on any equipment and or environmental issues for repair.Abides by HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations.Speaks up to stop the line and escalates potential safety events if necessary.Completes and attends monthly training assigned.Other duties as assigned.Behavioral Standards

Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read / comprehend written instructions, strong organizational skills, ability to follow verbal instructions, and PC (computer) skills.A capacity to learn, synthesize, make critical judgments, work independently, place patients and families first, and collaborate with the team members who are recognized leaders within health care.A minimum of twenty (20) years of healthcare delivery system administration; diverse portfolio with company land large medical group finance leadership roles.A minimum of fifteen (15) years working as CFO of healthcare delivery system administration.Education
Bachelors or better in Accounting.Bachelors or better in Business Administration.Bachelors or better in Finance.Masters or better.Experience
