A respected healthcare facility is searching for a meticulous and empathetic Surgical Scheduler to join their clinical support team in Providence, RI. This is a pivotal position, overseeing every element of procedure booking and making a critical impact on streamlined patient treatment.

The preferred candidate will possess superior structuring capabilities, refined verbal skills for interacting with both patients and the clinical team, and a firm grasp of medical administration protocols. Compensation : $20–$24 per hour

Key Responsibilities of the Surgical Scheduler :

Book all surgical slots, verify logistics with patients, and liaise closely with the operating suite staff.

Obtain necessary pre-certifications and validate coverage details for all planned operations.

Furnish clients with comprehensive pre-op guidelines and assist them in finalizing mandatory pre-procedure preparations.

Guarantee all mandatory paperwork and digital patient records are complete and fully prepared well ahead of the surgery date.

Organize post-operative visits and help coordinate ongoing rehabilitation plans.

Requirements of the Surgical Scheduler :

A minimum of 2 years of experience booking operations within a clinical office or hospital environment.

Prior work as a front-office specialist in a surgical practice will also be taken into account.

Solid command of medical vocabulary, surgical coordination workflows, and electronic medical record (EMR) platforms.

Exceptional communication and people skills, especially when handling sensitive and private patient data.

The capacity to juggle numerous duties while maintaining precision and attention to detail.

Desirable familiarity with insurance clearance and prior authorization protocols.

A team-oriented approach and the ability to thrive within a demanding healthcare setting.
