Job Summary

Responsibilities :

• Ensuring proper startup and operations of transfer system (i.e. conveyors, crushers, etc.) and mobile equipment.
• Operate various types of heavy equipment (including but not limited to wheeled / tracked bull-dozers, wagon scrapers, front end loaders, tool carriers, water tankers, etc.) to perform coal pile activities.
• Ensuring proper startup, operation of the balance of material unloading and handling equipment.
• Ensuring proper Lockout Tagout (LOTO) Energy Control procedures are performed as directed.
• Collection and processing of coal samples.
• Inspecting and cleaning material handling areas and equipment.
• Changing oil and lubricating equipment.
• Correcting equipment problems and performing minor maintenance activities.
• Performing preventive maintenance tasks.
• Completing log entries as directed and all other necessary documentation for work assignments performed.
• Performing and successfully completing the items set forth in the Material Services Team Member job duty checklist within the time specified in the job duty checklist.
• Using computer applications where appropriate.
• Completing all training and testing requirements of the job.
• Perform similar or lesser skilled work as directed.
