Job Summary :

Responsible for all de-watering activities including, new pump installations, maintenance and repairs. Will coordinate all water discharging activities and manage water storage.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, schedule and coordinate with the Production Manager and other departments for all water activities for both surface and underground operations.
• Develop, implement and assist in training programs to ensure that the mine site has qualified pumping personnel.
• Provides support and responds to unplanned conditions as necessary for daily operations
• Coordinates with Maintenance Foreman and pumping personnel to ensure assigned work is completed as scheduled.
• Ensures water supplies and water storage are managed properly to provide adequate water for scheduled demand.
• Recognizes and reacts to abnormal conditions and responds appropriately.
• May perform or help others perform major maintenance and repairs.
• Reads and follows directions in manufacturers' maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, Standard Operating Procedures, and maintenance procedures.
• Demonstrates continuous efforts to maintain safety, improve operations, decrease turnaround times and streamline work processes.
• Works safely and cooperatively to provide quality information and seamless operations.
