Podiatry Ancillaries Product Manager

About the Role :

We are seeking a Podiatry Ancillaries Product Manager to oversee programs related to diabetic shoes, DME (durable medical equipment), and pathology services. This role ensures that patients receive medically appropriate products and services in compliance with provider orders and insurance requirements.

The Product Manager will be responsible for tracking provider orders, coordinating product delivery, motivating staff, and improving program utilization. This individual will act as the central liaison between providers, clinical staff, and support teams to ensure timely service, accurate documentation, and continued program growth.

Key Responsibilities :

Program Oversight

Manage daily operations of diabetic shoe, DME, and pathology programs.

Ensure compliance with clinical, insurance, and regulatory requirements.

Track and manage order logs, workflow statuses, and product dispenses.

Reconcile product orders and billing to ensure accuracy and timely closure.

Performance Tracking :

Develop and monitor metrics related to program utilization, staff participation, and patient satisfaction.

Provide regular updates to practice administrators and providers on key performance indicators such as order status, dispenses, and documentation quality.

Collaboration with Remote Teams

Work closely with offshore support teams to ensure proper follow-up on documentation and order processing.

Monitor incoming faxes and validate documentation accuracy.

Track production reports and maintain workflow consistency.

Lab & Pathology Coordination

Ensure accurate capture of lab and pathology orders in relevant systems.

Coordinate with lab teams to confirm specimen receipt and timely upload of results into patient records.

Staff & Patient Engagement

Educate staff on identifying eligible patients through schedule scrubs.

Create workflows that enhance communication between front desk and clinical staff.

Ensure eligible patients are informed about the benefits of ancillary programs.

Training & Education

Partner with ancillary managers to provide staff training on program workflows, eligibility criteria, and compliance standards.

Train staff on proper diabetic shoe fitting and usage of scanning tools for custom inserts.

Visit clinical offices regularly to reinforce program compliance and support staff.

Other Duties :

Collaborate with providers and staff to improve operational efficiency.

Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support program success.

Qualifications :

Education & Experience

Minimum 3 years of clinical podiatry experience.

Background in healthcare administration, clinic operations, or DME preferred.

Knowledge of diabetic footwear and insurance coverage guidelines is a plus.

Skills & Competencies :

Ability to manage multiple operational areas effectively.

Proficient with EMR systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent teaching, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Proven ability to engage and motivate staff.

Self-starter with strong time management and organizational skills.
