Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Sales Executive with proven experience in freight forwarding (air and ocean) to join our growing team. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and driving revenue growth by offering customized logistics solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of international shipping, excellent negotiation skills, and a customer-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development :
- Identify, prospect, and secure new clients in both air and ocean freight markets.
- Develop a sales pipeline through cold calling, networking, referrals, and industry events.
- Prepare and deliver tailored proposals, presentations, and quotations.
- Negotiate freight rates, contracts, and service terms with customers.
Customer Relationship Management :
Maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients.Serve as the main point of contact for key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.Conduct regular business reviews with clients to identify opportunities for growth.Collaboration & Coordination :
Work closely with the operations team to ensure seamless execution of shipments.Liaise with carriers, overseas agents, and vendors to support customer requirements.Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to management to enhance service offerings.Sales Performance & Reporting :
Meet and exceed monthly / quarterly sales targets.Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities in CRM systems.Prepare weekly / monthly reports on pipeline activity, closed deals, and revenue performance.Qualifications
3–5 years of proven sales experience in the freight forwarding / logistics industry (air & ocean).Strong knowledge of international trade, INCOTERMS, and U.S. export / import processes.Established network of clients and contacts within the freight forwarding industry (preferred).Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.Strong organizational and time management skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, CargoWise CRM, Magaya CRM).Bilingual (English / Portuguese) is a plus.
