Position Summary

The Registered Nurse, using critical thinking skills, coordinates and provides safe, quality care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Assists in organizing patient care activities as assigned.

CERTIFICATION

BLS / CPR (AMERICAN HEART ASSN)

Pass EKG test within 180 days of hire

Inexperienced (Novice or new to L&D) :

ACLS (AMERICAN HEART ASSN) - WITHIN 180 DAYS OF HIRE

NRP (AMERICAN ACADEMY OF PEDIATRICS - WITHIN 90 days

AWHONN INTERMEDIATE FETAL MONITORING Course- WITHIN 9 months

Experienced (>

1 year OB experience within last 5 years)

ACLS at hire

NRP at hire

Proof of current AWHONN Intermediate fetal heart monitoring course at hire or one of following :

• AWHONN FHM Advanced course
• AWHONN FHM Simulation (FHMSIM) Intermediate level
• C-EFM (NCC-Electronic FM)
