Flight Coordination Specialist
The Flight Coordination Specialist is responsible for managing and reviewing all operational aspects of every Jet Linx booked flight. Duties include acting as the primary point of contact for Jet L Base Teams and Fleet Management teams, reviewing each booking assessing operational aspects, obtaining and confirming airport reservations, coordinating with crew to plan efficient technical stops, customs clearances, and aircraft logistics, and maintaining a constant understanding of weather patterns that could impact flights. The specialist also assists pilots in flight planning, the fuel desk with fuel purchases, and completes all necessary checklists on a trip-by-trip basis. Additionally, the specialist assists in housekeeping tasks, creates OSA (Operations and Service Alert) when necessary, and maintains a solid understanding of peak travel times. Familiarity with Jet Linx Emergency Response plan and Safety Management is required. Regular and predictable on-site attendance is necessary, and the specialist must demonstrate Jet Linx's core values in all interactions. Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities include the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, familiarity with general aviation flight operations and Flight Operation System (FOS), excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail and organizational skills, ability to handle and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information, self-motivated and willingness to take initiative to research and resolve problems, ability to multi-task and complete work within assigned timelines under minimal supervision, ability to work with frequent changes in procedures, directions, and outcomes, and ability to work flexible, non-standard hours. Operate office equipment as needed.
Education and work experience required include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, 1-3 years of aviation experience, previous Part 135 experience with high volume and / or large fleet size, and the ability to move up to 25 pounds on an infrequent basis. Majority of work is completed in a normal office work environment, with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Able to complete physical activities such as standing, sitting, walking, talking, and hearing to perform daily work functions.
Jet Linx offers a competitive compensation and benefits package to team members. Starting hourly wages for this position range from $23 to $32 per hour. Actual hourly rates are provided based on geographic location, aircraft size (crew positions), relevant education, training, and experience of the candidate.
