Manufacturing Quality Engineer

About the Role :

This candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of quality processes. Throughout the implementation and maintenance process, this candidate should use data analysis to better understand quality reporting measures and improve processes.

Responsibilities :

• Quality Engineers (QEs) play a crucial role in establishing, maintaining, and continuously improving our Quality Management System (QMS)
• Perform problem identification, resolution, and continuous improvement
• Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection using data-driven analysis such as process capability analysis, trend analysis, etc.
• Conduct root cause analyses and devise suitable preventive action plans
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to address quality issues
• Ability to create inspection plans and control plans for current and new products
• Assess and optimize processes by identifying improvement areas and implementing effective solutions that lead to continuous / cost improvements
• Ability to take the initiative and make sound judgments in work methods and interpreting goals
• Liaise with internal Customers, Suppliers and Clients to ensure that Quality requirements are understood and achieved
• Lead, contribute, and participate in Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) events
• Exhibit good understanding of the company's QMS and quality requirements
• Lead internal and external quality audits; conduct supplier quality audits

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering

4+ years' of industry experience

Strong knowledge of quality tools used in the industry

Analytical and quantitative approach to problem solving

Good mathematical skills and proficiency with computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Excellent interpersonal and team-player skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate new processes clearly and document critical aspects of the job
