Truck (B) Mechanic - Full-time / Part-time (Flexible Hours)

Fab-Tex, a busy medium / heavy duty truck upfitter / dealer located in western Suffolk, NY, is expanding its service team. We are currently looking to hire a Truck Mechanic who is willing to grow with our company.

Responsibilities :

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment, including tractors, trailers, light-duty vehicles, dump trucks, and more.
• Complete vehicle inspection report write-ups timely and efficiently.
• Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform repairs to correct specifications including, but not limited to, engines, transmissions and suspension, fuel and ignition system, and exhaust, intake, electrical, mechanical, brake, and HVAC systems.
• Problem solve / quality check while following procedures including documenting all work performed on work orders.
• Inspect reports, list of repairs and parts, identify root cause of basic failures / conditions to fix as required, replace defective components, and utilize diagnostic computers when applicable.

Requirements :

Minimum 2 (TWO) years of experience
