Sales Manager

Manages, trains & leads various community sales teams throughout the Southwest Florida Division (South Sarasota County through Collier County) by actively engaging with New Home Consultants and Sales Associates to drive performance through coaching, mentoring, and strategic leadership. Implements sales strategies that align with M / I Homes objectives to maximize profit potential and individual, community & division sales goals. Supports the development of Sales Associates and New Home Consultants through one-on-one training, community team training, and division team training. Holds team accountable to consistent sales-producing activities, strategic sales process, follow-up, and closing excellence.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Inspires and leads the sales team to consistently exceed weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals through hands-on coaching and daily field presence.
- Monitors and enhances NHC performance by observing customer interactions, providing real-time feedback, and reinforcing best practices.
- Assigns clear goals while maintaining team morale and accountability.
- Delivers ongoing training and development through company initiatives and the sales critical path, ensuring each consultant reaches their full selling potential.
- Gathers and analyzes competitive market data to strengthen positioning and complete quarterly comparative market analysis (CMA) reports.
- Serves as a proactive liaison between sales, construction, customer care, and other internal teams as well as prospects, homebuyers and homeowners to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Plans & leads dynamic sales meetings that energize, educate, and align the team.
- Recruits, develops, and retains top-performing sales professionals while addressing underperformance with clarity and care.
- Ensures all Sales Centers & Model Homes are open & staffed daily & occasionally covers Sales Centers as needed.
- Encourages continuous professional growth and challenges the team to elevate their skills and results.
- Collaborates with the sales team to refine strategies that improve operational efficiency and customer conversion.
- Conducts weekly field visits and coaching sessions designed to increase self-generated traffic and improve sales skills to maximize sales.
- Supports special projects and contributes to broader company initiatives as needed.
