Location : Bridgeport, CT 06610 (Connecticut nursing jobs)

Assignment Length : 16 weeks (11 / 17 / 2025 – 3 / 9 / 2026)

Shift : Days, 5x8-hour shifts (9 : 00 AM – 5 : 30 PM)

Hours per Week : 40

Call : 2-3 weekend call shifts per 6-week schedule; weekday call sign-up available

Setting : Operating Room, Level II Trauma Center

Charting System : EPIC

Free Parking

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2560 - $2750

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of recent Operating Room RN experience (OR RN jobs)

Trauma nursing experience required (Level II Trauma Center experience required; Level I preferred)

Active, unencumbered Connecticut Registered Nurse license (CT RN license)

BLS certification required

Ability to scrub and circulate most surgical specialties : general, gynecology, urology, robotics, neuro, ortho, plastics, vascular, thoracic

Proficiency with EPIC charting system

Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)

Previous charge nurse and community hospital experience preferred

Travel nursing experience and Level I trauma experience preferred

Must provide at least one professional reference

Not accepting local candidates (must live more than 75 miles from facility)

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

Scrub and circulate for a variety of surgical procedures : general, GYN, urology, robotics, neuro, ortho, plastics, vascular, thoracic

Deliver trauma patient care in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment

Participate in on-call rotation (weekend and weekday calls)

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams : IV, PT, RT, radiology, pharmacy, social services

Maintain accurate clinical documentation using EPIC

Ensure patient safety and compliance with universal protocols and infection control standards

Complete orientation and required modules prior to start
