The Opportunity
- Function as a technical Lead substation design engineer for FACTS projects involving (distribution, sub transmission and transmission level voltage classes).
- Utilize resources for safety and regulatory standards (IEEE, IEC, NEC, NESC, NERC, ISO / RTO) to define project requirements, review project deliverables (physical, P&C, power system design) and collaborate with owner and OEM resources (subject matter experts, internal engineering, and project management).
- Work on non-standard design aspects for substation engineers, conducting research to locate required white papers, publications, or standards and bring themselves up to speed.
- Convey technical information to the project team, including stakeholders with varying levels of technical expertise.
- Lead internal discussions with the owner engineering team to close out technical or project management topics.
