The Counseling Faculty Fellow is a full-time, non-tenure-track member of the faculty appointed for up to two years in the MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) program. The Counseling Faculty Fellow will be active in teaching, scholarship, and program development for the MA in CMHC. All faculty positions report to the Vice President of Academic Affairs (VPAA) with duties assigned by the VPAA. This position can be fulfilled by a remote faculty member who will be expected to travel to Western's campus 4-6 times per academic year.
The Counseling Faculty Fellow will join all WTS faculty in a commitment to the historic Christian faith and Reformed theological tradition as described in the seminary's theological identity statement and to its mission to "form women and men for faithful Christian ministry and participation in the Triune God's ongoing redemptive work in the world." The MA in CMHC program at WTS equips women and men to be wise, competent, humble, and hopeful practitioners, who are attuned to their own selves and stories. Our relationally-oriented and trauma-informed program offers the most contemporary, research-based training while, at the same time, remaining deeply rooted in a Christian soul care tradition which has informed compassionate care for centuries.
