The Opportunity :
Whittier Street Health Center is seeking a full-time Primary Care Physician to join our team. As part of our Boston Health Equity Program, you’ll deliver high-quality primary care while advancing our mission to eliminate health disparities. This role is 80% clinical and 20% administrative, offering the chance to provide comprehensive care while shaping innovative approaches to health equity.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide comprehensive, continuing primary care to patients across the lifespan in a community health center setting
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions with a focus on primary and preventive care
Refer patients to appropriate specialists and services as needed
Supervise nurse practitioners, nurses, and medical assistants to ensure high-quality care
Maintain accurate medical records and participate in audits for quality assurance
Support health promotion and preventive medicine initiatives
Stay current through continuing education, conferences, and teaching opportunities
Participate in on-call coverage as assigned
Requirements :
MD or DO with completed residency in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Current Massachusetts medical license
Board certification (or eligibility with path to certification)
Current BLS certification
Strong knowledge of medical standards, compliance, and patient-centered care
Ability to lead, supervise, and collaborate with a diverse care team
