Work hours : PRN, Requires at least 1 shift per 6 week schedule, 7 : 00 am – 7 : 00 pm

- Fast paced 23 bed Observation Unit with an average patient stay of 24-48 hours, primarily serves patients with chest pain / rule out, MI, COPD, Dehydration, Syncope, UTI, hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia, allergic reaction and cellulitis among others.
Here’s What You Need
Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or Nursing Diploma requiredBSN preferredOne-year experience as a clinical nurse in acute care setting requiredOne year of Emergency experience strongly preferredRN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra / interdisciplinary collaborator and coordinator for quality patient careBLS prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterlyACLS within 90 days of hire requiredCPI within 90 days of hire requiredWhat You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
Assesses the patientPlans the care of the patientIntervenes as appropriateEvaluates the effectiveness of interventionsIncorporates age specific safety / infection control measures into patient care.Initiates action to meet patient and / or significant others need for informationMaintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.Additional Perks Of Being a Texas Health Nurse
